I see my role as creating space for you to grow, heal, feel some relief, and achieve your goals. My style is curious, compassionate, wholistic, with a dash of humor who will "nudge" at times to help facilitate growth. Making changes, even healthy ones, are often hard and uncomfortable. But the "growing pains" are worth it, especially since our time on this Big Blue Marble is short. It is always an honor to be a part of a client's Life journey as they have the courage to move toward wholeness.
Each person is unique and is more than simply what has happened to them. Using an eclectic approach with a Client-Centered lens, I incorporate understandings and techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Somatic Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and am (IFS) Internal Family Systems and Accelerated Resoluation Therapy (ART) -informed. If the client would like, their spiritual or existential beliefs can also be included into their therapy.
With a unique specialty in pet loss, I’ve developed and facilitated pet loss support groups, and presented and written extensively on the subject. I'm currently working on a self-help/self-discovery book to help heal your heart after pet loss. As a former psychology and sociology instructor, I loved teaching my students about how the human brain, body, and behavior all work together to make us who we are.
My husband, Daniel, and I also have a travel YouTube channel called Adventures with Dan and Tracie. I also find nourishment in horseback riding, (or being around any animals, really!), singing, playing the piano, being near the water, dancing, movies, and quoting “Golden Girls," "Friends," and "Will & Grace" episodes.
Where do you find joy and peace?
